An ML model that classifies photos as Instagram or Twitter material.

I've never quite figured out what makes a photo "Instagram-worthy."

To bridge the gap, I built an image classifier using TensorFlow to determine whether a photo is better suited for Instagram or Twitter.

Machine Learning for Aesthetics

I scraped tens of thousands of images from each platform and fine-tuned an Inception v3 model. The model can score any given photo on its "Instagram-ness" versus "Twitter-ness."

Proof that machine learning can compensate for a lack of my aesthetic taste. Built during the early days of TensorFlow, it ended up getting covered by confused mainstream newspapers.
