Skip Work Search
A search engine that finds scenic escapes past your work stop
Dreading the end of a long holiday and having to head back to the office?
Born out of post-holiday despair, "Skip Work Search" is an escapist transit tool designed to show you scenic destinations you can reach simply by staying on the train past your work stop.
Calculated Commute Failure
Enter your home station, office station, and transit line, and the tool suggests attractive destinations along the extended path of your usual commute.

It automatically calculates how far the train keeps running past the station where you were supposed to get off, surfacing scenic viewpoints, hot springs, and coastal getaways crawled from Wikipedia.
Launched on Twitter the night before the first workday of the new year, it received tens of thousands of likes and retweets, and was featured across Japanese media including GIGAZINE and Yahoo! News. Turns out, everyone just wants to miss their stop.
